Hyangro Yoon conducts formal explorations into the visual conditions that arise when pixels are liberated from their screen-based interfaces and inscribed on canvas, deconstructing digital imagery and rendering the results on canvas through a methodology she calls “pseudo-painting.”
By foregrounding distinctions between reality and reproduction, Yoon interrogates her own role as a mediator of images as well as the ways that digital interfaces are ingrained in contemporary paradigms of perception.

Min Jung Song adapts interactive technologies and platforms of networked social engagement – from online gaming to YouTube to FaceTime – as means of investigating the impact of digital culture on the contemporary psyche.

Gwangsoo Park elevates the everyday practice of line drawing to its apotheosis by expanding its purview and unifying both figure and ground into a composite perceptual field, inviting viewers to recalibrate their habituated ways of seeing and engage in a more inchoate mode of spatial awareness.

GaHee Park’s paintings engage the viewer in intimate encounters that implicate voyeurism and exhibitionism alike, eliciting critical consideration of the ways that skewed notions of desire, pleasure and privacy are reinforced in the images that permeate an increasingly sexualized visual culture.

Kang Seung Lee adopts an archival sensibility in his multivalent art practice, which advocates for the remembrance, representation and reclamation of queer lives across generations. Throughout his works, Lee poetically links the preservation of such stories to the resilience of nature.
Propelled by a commitment to challenging Western and heterosexual typologies that pervade first-world cultural perspectives, Lee adopts intersectional approaches to contemplating queer social visibility and pluralistic correlations of presence and absence, history and heritage, community and connection.
